The Outdoor Classroom is BEAUTIFUL at UPES!
The UPES Outdoor Classroom
Paver Project is Complete!
Is your "Pave the Way" Brick in our courtyard?
Our students will have a clean, dry area to work with their teachers in our outdoor classroom!
Look at the fantastic work done over the summer months!
Many UPES families and friends have purchased "Pave the Way" bricks!
The profits from our brick sales have helped to make our dream come true!
Below are a few close up examples of the Pave the Way Bricks!
What a GREAT way to leave a family footprint on our school!
If you'd like to purchase a "Pave the Way" Brick, contact the school office for details!
Stay tuned for the courtyard classroom furniture to be placed outside!
That's our next step! It'll be there soon!!
The tree above has been installed also! It will need lots of water!
Check out these delicious vegetables growing in the garden!
Vegetables make nature beautiful as well as nutritious!

UPE....Progress, Progress, Progress!
The UPE Garden is Growing Strong!
Many exciting things are happening this summer at UPES!
Look how big the watermellon has grown!
All the tomatoes look awesome!
Can you what else is moving forward?
That's right! The outdoor classroom area is approaching completion!
Over a few years, many good people donate bricks imprinted with special messages!
Once the project is done, you'll be able to read all the bricks
that were contributed by our UPE school community!
Maybe your family will want to donate a message brick too!
For those who like trucks and equipment,
UPE has some great construction tools in the back of the school right now!
We can't wait to learn and grow in our outside classroom!
A big shout out to our new 2013-14 Kindergarten students! You'll be the first class to use our
outdoor classroom during your ENTIRE UPE tenure! Wow! That's special!
To our friends at General Francisco Ortiz de Ocampo and Kimberly State Park School,
we hope you're watching our progress!
UPES is excited to share this great news with ALL of our global friends!
Our new school year beings on August 26, 2013!

July is HOT at UPES!
Watering our garden is very important in the summer!
Below is a beautiful watermelon plant. Look at the yellow flower!
This plant takes LOTS of water to produce a fruit!
Peppers!
Mr. Slichter's class designed a support system for beans to grow!
Here's one of our attempts to keep the deer out of our garden area.
It hasn't worked very well.
Notice the straw on the garden beds. Mr. Aiken's class helped spread this today!
The straw helps keep the water in the ground during hot days!
Tomatoes!
Potatoes!
These little frogs are all over the garden, near the pond, and in the courtyard!
Alivia is watering the garden!
Fish keep cool in our pond!
